Da Nang River at night.

As announced by the APNIC Executive Council at APNIC 56, APNIC 60 is set to be held in Da Nang, Viet Nam, from 3 to 11 September 2025, hosted by VNNIC.

For the past decade, APRICOT and APNIC conferences have rotated around four subregions in the Asia Pacific: East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and Oceania. This rotation was interrupted between 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic when conferences were held online only. The usual rotation of APNIC conference locations has since restarted.

The last time an APNIC conference was held in Viet Nam was in 2017. APNIC 60 is in the early stages of planning so more details will follow.

APNIC 58

In the meantime, APNIC 58 will be held from 30 August to 6 September 2024 at the Tākina Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wellington, New Zealand, hosted by InternetNZ.

APNIC 58’s workshops will be held from 30 August to 2 September 2024 and partner events — APIX, AP*, APCERT and the RPKI Deployathon — will be held on 3 September 2024. The APNIC conference will run from 4 to 6 September 2024.

Upcoming APRICOT conferences

Following the return of in-person conferences, the cost of airline travel, conference venues, and related suppliers has risen significantly. To provide greater flexibility in choosing locations and managing costs, the APNOG Board adopted a more relaxed strategy for rotating the location of APRICOT. The event will still move around the region in future, but it will not strictly follow the previous subregional rotation.

APRICOT 2024 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand hosted by the THNIC Foundation. Specialist training will take place from 21 to 23 February 2024, partner meetings on 25 and 26 February, and the conference from 27 February to 1 March 2024.

If you have an interesting presentation to share on Internet operations, submit a paper for APRICOT 2024 now.

APRICOT 2025 will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, hosted by the ISP Association of Bangladesh. Specialist training will take place from 18 to 20 February, partner meetings on 22 and 23 February, and the conference from 24 to 27 February 2025.

Further information on all events will be shared as soon as possible.

In 2024, we look forward to welcoming you to Bangkok for APRICOT 2024 and Wellington for APNIC 58!
