Terry Sweetser

Terry Sweetser is the Founder and Principal Consultant of The Internet Engineering and Infrastructure Strategic Initiative, a consultancy focused on guiding organisations through critical technology transitions. He advises on Internet infrastructure development, governance, executive leadership, and strategic fundraising, particularly in contexts requiring capacity building or turnaround expertise. Terry currently serves on the Product Committee of PeeringDB, helping to shape the evolution of the global interconnection database, and as Secretary of the Pacific Islands Internet Exchange (PIIX), where he supports efforts to develop the region’s first multi-national IXP network. He also writes regularly on digital transformation, leadership, and infrastructure strategy on Medium and Substack. He has 30+ years of ITEE/Telco experience and is well known in peering and governance forums. Terry is the Chair of the APNIC Routing Security SIG.
