APNIC supported and participated in the third Indian Network Operators Group (INNOG 3) meeting, which included the 2020 Open Policy Meeting for the Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN OPM 2020), held online from 6 to 7 August 2020.

The event welcomed around 240 participants to hear from speakers on topics including RPKI, IPv6, DNS over HTTPS, IXPs in small cities, and data centre and cloud computing trends. View the agenda for more information.

APNIC activities:

  • George Michaelson moderated the panel on routing security, where discussion centred on RPKI in India. There were good questions from the community about how to do RPKI deployment, which highlight the depth of interest in the Indian community in RPKI, and that discussion on RPKI deployment is continued as a community.

  • Sunny spoke at the IRINN OPM, giving an update of the current policy proposals under discussion. Sunny also noted that discussion of the proposals at APNIC 50 is deferred until APNIC 51.
