APNIC continued to progress its resource delegation review program in Q3 2026 and reported on progress at APNIC 62. The primary activity of the program is to review all IPv4 resource delegations and transfers made by each NIR and APNIC over a 10-year period to ensure compliance is being maintained with address policy.
The initial data reviews for IRINN and CNNIC were completed during the quarter. The results of the IRINN review were provided to IRINN/NIXI in September and APNIC expects to share the results of the CNNIC review with CNNIC in October. The final data review for IDNIC, covering the five years that was not included in the first IDNIC delegation review, is in progress.
The analysis of APNIC’s own registry data also began in September.
APNIC continues to work closely with VNNIC, IDNIC and now IRINN to evaluate their delegation review results and eliminate any false positives. The reviews for TWNIC, KRNIC and JPNIC have been completed.
APNIC aims to have all reviews either completed, or with NIRs for checking and remediation, by the end of 2026 and hopes to conclude the program in early 2027 when the results will be shared with the community. It is expected that some remediation activities may be ongoing after the conclusion of the review program.
Information about the resource delegation review program is stored on a dedicated web page. The next update to the community will be provided in December 2026.
