Program highlights
The program has plenty of great content, including three technical sessions, two FIRST/APNIC security sessions, an IPv6 deployment session, a Community Consultation on Increasing Diversity in Community Leadership session, two BoF sessions, and meetings of the Special Interest Groups (SIGs). There are also tutorials on KINDNS and DNSSEC and Suricata for ISP/IXP Threat Detection available to extend your learning.
Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony, which features keynote speakers Amajit Gupta, Group CEO and Managing Director of Lightstorm, who will talk about ‘The autonomous grid: Driving zero-touch network operations with smart networks’ and Yukako Uchida, Manager of Global Coordination Division at JPCERT/CC and FIRST Board member, who will discuss ‘Trust as infrastructure: The human side of cybersecurity’.

Cast your vote
Online voting for the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) closes this Thursday, 10 September 2026 at 14:30 (UTC +5:30). Online voting is available to both APNIC Members and APNIC 62 conference attendees who meet the voting eligibility criteria.
Participate in the Open Policy Meeting
The Open Policy Meeting (OPM) at APNIC 62 will be held on 10 September 2026. There are seven proposals up for discussion.
- prop-164: Allocations of IPv6 resources longer than a /32 with a nibble boundary alignment
- prop-165: Provision of IPv4 address space to IPv6-only networks for transitional purposes
- prop-168: Increase to maximum IPv4 delegations
- prop-169: Aligning IPv4 LIR needs assessment with current IPv4 delegation policy
- prop-170: Nibble-boundary alignment for IPv6 allocations
- prop-171: Operational accountability for abuse contacts in sub-allocated address space
- prop-172: Defining Internet abuse through IP addresses
