
APNIC supported and participated in INNOG 8, held in conjunction with the 2nd India ISP Conclave (IISPC2025) in Delhi, India from 23 to 28 May 2025.
This event, comprising four days of workshops and a two-day conference, welcomed network operators, Internet Service Providers, regulators, government officials and tech professionals to share insights and collaborate on topics such as Internet infrastructure, security, and development. APNIC activities:
- Dave Phelan and APNIC Community Trainer, Sourav Satpathy, conducted a four-day Network Automation Workshop for 28 participants.
- Jia Rong Low presented on ‘Global Networking Trends’ where he showcased global and regional statistics on IPv6 and RPKI deployment.
- Geoff Huston remotely presented a technical keynote on ‘Measuring Starlink Protocol Performance’.
- Dave presented on the ‘State of DDoS in India’ where he explained what DDoS is and shared mitigation strategies to protect networks from attacks.
- Jia Rong participated in a panel discussion on ‘ICP-2 RIR Governance’.
- APNIC hosted a booth where Vivek Nigam and Dave welcomed several APNIC Members and conference attendees, answering their questions on APNIC membership, RPKI and transfers.
- During the trip, Jia Rong, Vivek, and Sunny Chendi took the opportunity to visit APNIC Members, IRINN, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Education and Research Network (ERNET) to discuss important Internet issues.
