The 2022 APNIC Survey report is now available.

The APNIC Executive Council and Secretariat would like to thank everyone in the community who participated in the interviews and survey. There were 1,622 valid responses received – an almost identical number to the 1,624 responses received for the last survey in 2020 – with 61% of respondents indicating they had never participated in the APNIC Survey in previous years.

The survey questionnaire was available in 11 languages in 2022 and 441 surveys were completed in a language other than English (or 29% of all surveys completed).

The 2022 APNIC Survey, conducted by independent research specialist, Survey Matters, has provided APNIC with valuable feedback from Members and the wider Internet community. A summary of the results will be presented at APNIC 54 during the APNIC Member Meeting on Thursday, 15 September, and you can watch the presentation online (live or recording afterwards).

APNIC values and acts on the results of its biennial surveys in order to continuously improve services and activities. In the next few months, the Secretariat will work closely with the APNIC EC to develop its 2023 Activity Plan and Budget, and the survey information will form an important part of that planning.

The subsequent plan, and tracking of progress against those planned activities, will be available on the APNIC website as always. The survey findings will also help inform next year’s development of APNIC’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.

Thanks again to everyone in the community who contributed to the survey. Your input helps APNIC improve its services and ensure the community’s needs are met.
