APNIC’s Shane Hermoso will deliver two workshops at the annual Philippines Network Operators Group (PhNOG 2019) conference, held in Cebu, Philippines from 4 to 8 March.

BGP 101

BGP is one of the key routing protocols that run the Internet. This workshop will provide an introduction to the protocol, focusing on features, operations, attributes, and BGP configuration.

This one-day workshop (4 March) is aimed at people who wish to advance their knowledge of IP networks. We recommended participants have a working knowledge of TCP/IP, networks, and routing.

DNSSEC

The DNS is a critical part of the Internet’s infrastructure, and securing it is vital to its operations. In this workshop, we will discuss DNS security in detail, focusing on DNSSEC specifications for securing DNS information. In this one-day workshop (5 March) we will examine the mechanisms to establish authenticity and integrity of DNS data and delegate trust.
