APNIC participated at the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) from 18 to 20 September 2018 in Singapore.
With the theme ‘Forging a Trusted and Open Cyberspace’, the event welcomed representatives from government, industry, and academia to discuss a range of topics including cybersecurity trends and solutions, cyber norms of behaviour and capacity-building efforts.
There were several other events co-located with SICW, including the 6th INTERPOL/EUROPOL Cybercrime Conference, the meeting of the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace (GCSC), the annual meeting of the Global Forum of Cyber Expertise (GFCE), and the GovWare Conference.
APNIC activities:
- Klée Aiken and Craig Ng participated at the SICW Opening Plenary and attended the GovWare Conference.
- Klée participated at the SICW Cybersecurity Lecture and at the GCSC as a member of the Research Advisory Group.
- Klée also participated in the GFCE Advisory Board meeting and Working Group B on ‘Cyber Incident Management and Critical Infrastructure Protection’.
- Craig participated at the 6th INTERPOL/EUROPOL Cybercrime Conference.
