APNIC participated in the 3rd Indonesian Network Operators Group (IDNOG) meeting, IDNOG 3, held in Jakarta from 25 to 28 July 2016.

Established in 2014, IDNOG brings together Indonesian network operators to share operational experience, current best practice information and provide training opportunities to help manage Internet growth.

The meeting was the largest so far, with around 318 people attending the conference day and 30 people attending the preceding three-day workshop.

APNIC activities:

  • Sanjaya spoke during the opening session, welcoming delegates to the conference.

  • George Michaelson gave a keynote presentation on IPv6 deployment in different economies around the world.

  • Fakrul Alam presented on routing security and how operators are adopting and implementing IRR, RPSL and RPKI.

  • Prior to the conference, Fakrul ran a three-day workshop on advanced IPv6 routing, with support from Wita Laksono.
