APNIC will deliver a three-day Network Security workshop from 17 to 19 November 2015, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Register now and pay before 27 October 2015 to get the early-bird rate.

This Training event is kindly supported by Sri Lanka Next Generation (SLNG) and EDULINK International Campus and will be the first training event conducted with SLNG following the signing of an MOU in February this year.

This intermediate level workshop is designed for Engineers, Network Managers and Operators, Security policy makers who are interested in network security and gaining an understanding of the threats they face and how to mitigate such threats.

Topics covered will include:

  • Network Security Fundamentals
  • Security on Different Layers and Attack Mitigation
  • Cryptography and PKI
  • Device and Infrastructure Security
  • Operational Security and Policies
  • Virtual Private Networks and IPSec
  • DNSSEC
  • Route Filtering

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to practice the hands-on lessons learned using the APNIC virtual lab.

The workshop will be delivered by APNIC’s Senior Training Specialist Nurul Islam (Roman).
