APNIC will deliver a five-day Network Security workshop from 28 September to 02 October 2015, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Register now and pay before 07 September 2015 to get the early-bird rate.

This intermediate level workshop is designed for engineers, network managers and operators as well as security policy makers who are interested in network security and gaining an understanding of the threats they face and how to mitigate such threats.

Topics covered will include:

  • Network security fundamentals
  • Security on different layers and attack mitigation
  • Cryptography and PKI
  • Device and infrastructure security
  • Operational security and policies
  • Virtual private networks and IPSec
  • DNSSEC
  • Route filtering

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to practice the hands-on lessons learned using the APNIC virtual lab.

The workshop will be delivered by APNIC’s Training Officer Sheryl (Shane) Hermoso and local Training Consultant Ram Krishna Pariyar.
