The IPv6 transition continues in economies and organizations throughout the Asia Pacific region at different rates. Experiences were captured and misconceptions about IPv6 were debunked. Here are three of 2025’s best IPv6 posts:

  1. cPanel’s IPv6 overhaul — Luke Thompson shared how IPv6 was finally implemented on cPanel, enabling true dual-stack hosting without complex workarounds. He covered the new deployment, the issues encountered, and the fixes applied along the way.
  2. IPv6 capability reaches 50% in the Asia Pacific region  — In April 2025, APNIC Labs recorded a consistent 30-day average of IPv6 capability exceeding 50% across all 56 APNIC economies. Jia Rong Low marked this significant milestone, achieved 25 years after the regional journey with IPv6 first began.
  3. IPv6 is hard — Jens Link asks that you take your IPv6 deployment seriously, or don’t do it at all. He explains that unserious IPv6 deployments are what make people think that IPv6 is hard.
