Connect with the APNIC WhatsApp Community.

We are excited to introduce the APNIC WhatsApp Community — a direct way to stay connected with the broader APNIC community, wherever you are.

The APNIC community has always been built on connection through meetings, mailing lists, training, and events. As communication continues to evolve, there is a growing need for something more accessible and engaging.

This does not replace existing channels. Instead, it complements them by offering a more informal, responsive way to stay up to date without having to actively seek out information. Whether you are following policy discussions, seeking knowledge or sharing it, taking part in training, or preparing for an event, the APNIC WhatsApp Community aims to meet that need.

The structure is designed to be clear and purposeful, so you can engage in the way that suits you. It includes:

  • APNIC Announcement Group — for important updates and official communications (all community members will be added to this group)
  • APNIC Discussion Group — a space for conversations, questions, and knowledge exchange
  • Event-specific groups — Dedicated groups for APNIC and APRICOT conferences, active during events to help you stay connected and informed

To support a positive and respectful environment, the community also includes clear guidance and supporting resources. These include the APNIC Community Code of Conduct and a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page that explains how the community works, and a Privacy Notice that outlines how information is handled.

This initiative is grounded in community values — openness, collaboration, and mutual support. Over time, the WhatsApp Community is expected to grow into a place where useful information is shared and connections are strengthened.

Join the APNIC Community on WhatsApp.

We look forward to welcoming you.
