
APNIC participated in the 4th Next Generation DNS Summit held in Beijing, China on 26 June 2025.
The event, hosted by ZDNS and the National Engineering Laboratory for Internet Domain Name Management Technology, featured speeches from leading academics and industry experts centered on the theme “Global vision, Chinese practice, industrial perspective, and technological frontier”.
APNIC activities:
- Makito Lay delivered a presentation in Mandarin on ‘IPv6 Deployment and Best Practices’ at the sub-forum on IPv6 and Inter-networking Technology Deployment. Here he shared insights on global and regional adoption trends, outlining the key steps for effective deployment across networks. He stressed the importance of robust security in IPv6 implementation and recommended adopting RPKI, including both ROA and ROV.
- During the event, Makito met with several attendees, including representatives from ICANN, CERNET, CNNIC, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and National (Hangzhou) Novel Internet Exchange where they discussed a range of topics related to IPv6 and RPKI adoption, and future Internet developments.
