APNIC participated in the 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, held from 19 to 22 November 2024 in Wuzhen, China.
The event featured an opening ceremony, main forum and 24 specialized sub-forums covering a wide range of topics including open-source ecosystem development, data governance, AI innovation and governance, and much more. The overarching theme was ‘Embracing a People-Centered and AI-for-Good Digital Future – Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace’.
APNIC activities
- Pablo Hinojosa presented at the Next Generation Internet Forum on ‘Fostering the Next Generation of Human Internet Resiliency’ sharing the key message that ‘Internet resiliency is as much a human challenge as it is a technical one’.
- Pablo also participated in the International Norms in Cyberspace Forum where he delivered a presentation discussing positive protective measures for the public core and their role in fostering global Internet stability and trust.
