Karla Skarda gave opening remarks at the 5th ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum.
APNIC participated in the 5th ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum and 41st TWNIC OPM held in Taipei from 23 to 24 April 2024.
The event was organized by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), to discuss topics including Internet governance, cybersecurity, capacity building, AI and emerging technologies and much more. APNIC activities:
- Karla Skarda gave opening remarks.
- Karla participated in the High-Level Opening Panel Discussion, which focused on the theme of Internet fragmentation and maintaining a global and interoperable Internet.
- Sunny Chendi participated in the IP OPM: Cooperation SIG panel discussion on the topic of technical capacity building for Internet development.
- Sunny also presented on the APNIC policy framework and updates to the IP OPM: Policy SIG session.
- Karla and Sunny met with Members and industry leaders and had side meetings with TWNIC and ICANN.
