Participants at npNOG 8.
APNIC supported and participated in npNOG 8, held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 18 to 23 June 2023.
The event welcomed 352 participants for five days of workshops and the conference day. Speakers were invited to share their experiences in IXPs, optical fibre network deployment, Routed Optical Networking, and much more. View the agenda for more information.
APNIC activities:
- APNIC hosted a booth, welcoming APNIC Members and answering their questions on IPv6 deployment, IPv4 transfers, the status of RPKI and ROAs in their network, and APNIC 56 registration.
- Chimi Dorji presented on the status of IPv6 deployment in Nepal and the South Asian region. Watch the recording.
- Warren Finch participated as a panellist in the IPv6 deployment session. Watch the recording.
- Warren and APNIC Community Trainer Swapneel Patnekar helped conduct the Network Security workshop for 37 participants.
- Imtiaz Sajid and APNIC Community Trainer Subhashini Kadurugasyaya helped conduct the BGP and IPv6 Deployment workshop for 37 participants.
