APNIC supported and participated in the Pacific Telecommunications Security Expert Forum (PTSEF), which was held in Brisbane, Australia from 10 to 11 November 2022.
The event, co-hosted by the University of Queensland and The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, included a series of presentations, roundtables, and group discussions to better understand the needs of the Pacific region, as they relate to telecommunications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
APNIC activities:
- Adli Wahid was invited to be a panellist for a roundtable discussion on ‘Enhancing regional telecommunications resilience and security in the Pacific’.
- Adli was also a panellist on the roundtable discussion on the subject of ‘Moving Ahead: Formulating a joint commitment to telecom security and research in the Pacific’.
Each session had up to four panellists from academia and industry.
