APNIC supported and participated in APAN 54, held in a hybrid format from 22 to 26 August 2022 in Jinan, China.

The five-day event comprised tutorials, demonstrations, panel discussions, and conference sessions on topics including transmission networks in National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), identity federations, cloud-related topics, and much more. View the agenda for more information.

APNIC activities:

  • Geoff Huston gave a keynote presentation on the IETF, including the emergence of the IETF, the IETF culture-kings, voting and running code, and the IETF today.
  • Che-Hoo Cheng gave an update from APNIC, including an overview of APNIC’s engagement with the NREN community.
  • Warren Finch conducted the Introduction to Software Defined Networking (SDN) and OpenFlow workshop.
