Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony on Monday, 28 February to hear from APNOG’s Aftab Siddiqui, ISPAB‘s Saiful Islam Siddique, and Keynote Speakers Fiber@Home’s Sharful Alam and Internet pioneer Jack Haverty.
Learn how to get the most out of the conference by joining the Newcomers’ Welcome session, where you’ll meet peers and the organizers.
Also on Monday, there’s a topical panel discussion that will discuss various natural disasters, considerations needed when building your network, and reliability models for operating the network during a natural disaster.
During the APOPS session on Tuesday 1 March, Geoff Huston will discuss changes to the routing and addressing infrastructure during 2021 and Seth Schoen of the IPv4 Unicast Extensions Project will talk about reducing IP address waste.
Later on Tuesday, Geoff will also give an update on IPv6 Fragmentation at the IPv6 Deployment session. He’ll be joined by Charles Liang and John Alexander discussing IPv6 deployments at Taiwan Mobile and Aussie Broadband respectively.
Wednesday has the Network Operations and Securing Routing sessions. There are two APNIC Open Policy Meetings where you can share your opinion on the three policy proposals up for discussion. Don’t forget to check out the NOG BoF, and the Diversity in Tech panel, this year discussing disability.
Thursday, 4 March holds a panel discussion on the dire realities of DDoS, the DNS Operations session, and the APNIC Annual General Meeting (three sessions), where you’ll be updated on the Secretariat’s activities, plans and budgets, and the APNIC EC election results.
The conference will end with the Closing Plenary featuring keynote speaker S M Altaf Hossain who will discuss the Internet’s journey in Bangladesh.

The event is fully online and you can register to attend any time throughout the week. To participate in the conference sessions, simply log in to the APRICOT 2022 website on the Schedule page (once registered) and choose your session on the schedule.
