APNIC welcomes you to APRICOT 2021 held online in partnership with PhNOG, the Philippine Network Operators Group, along with DICT and DOST of the Philippines government.

APRICOT 2021 highlights

Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony on Monday, 1 March to hear from DICT Philippines’ Secretary, Gregorio B. HonasanEmmanuel Rey R. Caintic, DICT Undersecretary for Digital Philippines, and Göran Marby, ICANN CEO and President.

Also on Monday, APOPS 1 has presentations from Geoff Huston (APNIC), Susan Forney (Hurricane Electric) and Md Abdul Awal (NSRC) discussing DNS privacy and RPKI.

Tuesday, 2 March sees the APNIC Plenary – Routing Security: Present & Future, where Geoff Huston, George Michaelson (APNIC) and Fredrik Korsbäck (AWS) will explore current challenges — including AS path protection and BYO IP in provisioning — and the work in progress towards the future use of RPKI.

Also on Tuesday is the Peering Forum including Peering Personals, an opportunity for operators to introduce their network and peering policy. You can then let your hair down in the evening with the DJs in Tech social.

Wednesday has the Network Operations session, including an interesting presentation on TLD anycast for stability and resiliency ahead of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. There are also two APNIC Open Policy Meetings, where you can share your opinion on the two policy proposals up for discussion. Don’t forget to check out the NOG BoF and the Diversity in Tech panel.

Thursday, 4 March is the day of the APNIC Annual General Meeting (three sessions), where you can get an update on the Secretariat’s activities, plans and budgets, and the APNIC EC election results.

Lightning Talks is always another program highlight.

The conference will end with the Closing Plenary featuring keynote speaker and DICT Undersecretary Denis F. Villorente.
