APNIC participated in the GFCE Annual V-Meeting 2020, held online from 24 to 25 November 2020.

The event welcomed around 400 participants to discuss topics related to the theme ‘GFCE Strategic Building Blocks‘, including ‘Challenges to Cyber Capacity Building in the (post-) COVID-19 era’, ‘GFCE as a Platform for Multistakeholder Cooperation’, and ‘Accelerating the Adoption of Open Internet Standards’.

APNIC activities:

  • APNIC participated in the session ‘Coordinated ICT and cyber capacity building in the Pacific‘ on the common goals in identifying and addressing opportunities and challenges for cyber capacity in the Pacific region, and three related breakout sessions:
    • Adli Wahid participated in the session on e-crime and cybersafety; Joyce Chen participated in the session on e-governance and digital transformation; and Melody Bendindang participated in the session on ICT and cybersecurity workforce and businesses.
