APNIC participated at the 60th meeting of the APEC Telecommunications and Information Working Group (APEC TEL 60) in Seoul, South Korea, from 13 to 18 October 2019.
APNIC has been an official guest of APEC TEL since 2009, regularly providing insight into regional IPv6 deployment at the Development Steering Group (DSG) and more recently taking part in the Security and Prosperity Steering Group (SPSG).
The TEL community is beginning to draft the new Strategic Action Plan 2021-2025.
APNIC activities:
- Melody Bendindang presented an IPv6 deployment and end-user readiness update in the DSG.
- Melody also gave an update of APNIC’s security activities in the SPSG.
- Melody presented the Guest Statement at the Plenary.
APEC TEL 61 will be held in Malaysia in 2020.
