APNIC participated at the 2018 New Zealand Network Operators Group (NZNOG 2018) meeting, in Queenstown, New Zealand, from 22 to 26 January 2018.

Welcoming 124 attendees, NZNOG 2018 included speakers from around the region who spoke on topics including submarine cables, MANRS, and OpenNMS.

APNIC activities

  • Elly Tawhai gave a presentation on updates to the APNIC Whois Database and new policy implementations. Elly also met with APNIC Members to discuss their IP address and membership queries.

  • Geoff Huston presented on DNS, DNSSEC, DDoS and NSEC caching.
  • Tashi Phuntsho conducted a Network Security workshop for 24 participants.
