APNIC and ICANN will deliver a Network Security workshop and DNSSEC tutorial in Tuvalu this March.

Register now and pay before 16 February 2018 to get the early-bird rate.

The three-day APNIC Network Security workshop (5-7 March) is designed for network engineers, managers and operators, as well as security policy makers interested in network security, and understanding and mitigating threats.

Topics covered will include:

  • Network security fundamentals
  • Security on different layers and attack mitigation
  • Cryptography and public key infrastructure
  • Device and infrastructure security
  • Operational security and policies

The one-day DNSSEC tutorial (9 March) is designed for network engineers, systems administrators, and anyone who is involved in managing DNS operations.

Topics covered will include:

  • DNS concepts
  • Forward and Reverse DNS
  • DNS Security concepts
  • DNS protocol vulnerabilities

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to practice the hands-on lessons learned using the APNIC virtual lab.
