More than 300 people attended the 44th Asia Pacific Advanced Network meeting held in Dalian, China, from 26 August to 1 September.

The event comprised tutorials, workshops, presentations, and demonstrations covering advanced network technologies and applications.

APNIC activities

  • Che-Hoo Cheng presented on APNIC’s security outreach activities, including developing the capacity and awareness of Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs)/Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) in the region.

  • Jamie Gillespie assisted GÉANT with facilitating an introductory CSIRT workshop, funded by Asi@Connect, for network engineers working within national research and education networks.
  • Che-Hoo and Jamie attended several sessions and spoke with multiple APNIC Members and potential Members about their resource and training requirements.
