George Kuo presenting on IPv6.

APNIC welcomed 23 participants to a Member gathering and training in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 13 to 15 June 2017.

APNIC activities:

  • George Kuo and Nurul Islam presented on IPv6 deployment in the region, IPv6 in broadband networks, getting more IPv4 address space, APNIC whois data quality, and routing security.

  • George and Bayar Batjargal took the opportunity to meet personally with APNIC Members to discuss their IP address and membership needs.
  • Nurul and Bayar conducted a network security and Internet Resource Management workshop to 26 participants and assisted some Members in creating ROAs during the training, helping to increase RPKI adoption in Mongolia from 3% to 30%.
  • Nurul also met with Members interested in getting technical assistance and hosting IPv6 training.
