Around 108,000 people from 208 economies attended the four-day Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC ’17). The annual congress, held this year from 27 February to 2 March in Barcelona, Spain, is the mobile industry’s biggest event, where business executives, government representatives and mobile technology enthusiasts gather to collaborate and conduct business.

For the past three years, APNIC has been invited by the GSMA to attend the Ministerial Programme of the MWC, an important forum to engage with governments, regulators and mobile operators to speak about IPv6, IoT and fast-growing networks. Partnerships Specialist, Sylvia Cadena, represented APNIC at this event.

APNIC activities:

  • Sylvia participated in MWC ’17 as an invited observer, attending relevant sessions from the ministerial program and the main conference tracks.
