APNIC participated at the third Bhutan Network Operators Group (btNOG 3) in Thimphu, Bhutan from 14 to 18 November 2016.

Established in 2014 to build the capacity of Bhutanese Internet builders, btNOG’s most recent meeting 3 comprised four days of technical workshops on routing, network security and virtualization, and a one-day conference that included presentations on Large BGP Communities by Matsuzaki Yoshinobu (IIJ), Fibre Access by Sumon Ahmed Sabir (Fibre@Home) and an Overview of Bhutan’s Optical Fibre Network by Namgay Wangchuk (Bhutan Power Corporation).

APNIC activities:

  • Tuan Nguyen gave an update on the IPv4 address pool, routing security and new features in MyAPNIC.

 

  • Tuan also took the opportunity to meet with APNIC Members to discuss their membership and IP addressing needs.
