Internet of Things (IoT) was an overarching theme of the meeting program, which included a four-hour tutorial on IoT, a keynote presentation on this subject, and a panel discussing regulatory and security aspects of IoT deployment.
- Pablo Hinojosa presented an APNIC policy update to the LACNIC policy forum.
- Pablo also participated in a ceremony that celebrated the conclusion of the process that led to the IANA functions stewardship transition. On that same day, the US government made the announcement about the expiration of the historical IANA functions contract.
