APNIC participated in the 2nd Meeting of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) preparatory group for the ITU World Telecommunications Standardisation Assembly 2016 (WTSA-16).

The TSA is held every four years and defines the next period of study for the telecommunications standardization bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T).

The next world conference is scheduled to take place in Q3 2016. No location or dates for the conference have yet been set.

The second meeting of the APT Preparatory Group for WTSA (APT WTSA16-2) was held from 15 to 17 October 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The objective of this series of inter-Governmental meetings is to assist the Asia Pacific Member States to prepare for the WTSA in coordinating issues of regional interests and preparing coordinated regional contributions.

The third and fourth meetings are scheduled for June and August 2016.

APNIC activities:
