APNIC Training in Yogyakarta

APNIC will deliver a three-day DNS/DNSSEC workshop, 18-20 May, in Yogyakarta.

The workshop is designed for network engineers, systems administrators, and anyone  involved in managing DNS operations.

Topics covered will include:

  • DNS Security concepts
  • DNS Protocol Vulnerabilities
  • Transaction Signatures (TSIG)
  • DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC)
  • Setting up secure zones
  • DNSSEC Key management

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops to practice the hands-on lessons learned using the APNIC virtual lab.

The workshop will be delivered by Sheryl (Shane) Hermoso. Shane had various roles as  a Network and Systems Administrator before joining APNIC in 2011. Shane obtained her Computer Engineering degree at the University of the Philippines.

Shane will be assisted by Wita Laksono. Wita has been a Senior Internet Resource Analyst  at APNIC since 2008. Wita has a degree in Computer Engineering and specialised skills in Networking and as a Systems Administrator. Wita is fluent in Bahasa Indonesian and English.
