APNIC provides financial, technical, and research support to the Internet community to help promote the growth of the Internet, particularly in developing economies where financial and logistical barriers can hinder the deployment of Internet services.

Here are three popular stories on Internet development in the Asia Pacific region this year:

  1. Myanmar’s ICT ministry opens door for Internet infrastructure development – APNIC and ICANN were invited by Myanmar’s ICT ministry to provide training on Internet Resource Management, Routing, IPv6 and ccTLD Management.
  2. Vanuatu Internet Exchange: a success story – Learn how Vanuatu successfully created an IXP and the impact it is having on the experience of the country’s Internet users.
  3. Building IPv6 capacity in our region – APNIC partnered with the ITU to deliver two IPv6 Infrastructure Security workshops in Thailand and Mongolia.
