APNIC participated in LACNIC 43 held in São Paulo, Brazil from 5 to 9 May 2025.

The first of two annual conferences of the year for the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Addresses Registry, LACNIC 43 welcomed network operators, policymakers, civil society, and industry experts to discuss issues related to Internet development in the region. The agenda included sessions on IPv6 adoption, routing security, digital inclusion, ICP-2 Review and policy.

APNIC activities:

  • Geoff Huston presented on ‘Measuring Starlink Protocol Performance’.
  • Vivek Nigam participated in the ‘Global Synergy among the RIRs: Connecting the Regions’ panel discussion where he, and representative from the other RIR’s, discussed IPv4 resources and shared registry challenges.
