
APNIC participated in the Malaysia Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (MyAPIGA) 2025, held in Putrajaya from 16 to 18 February 2025.
The event, hosted by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), brought together a diverse group of next-generation Internet governance leaders for an educational and transformative experience, providing them with essential insights and skills for the growing Internet governance landscape.
APNIC activities:
Sunny Chendi participated as follows:
- Spoke in session 1 on Internet governance.
- Presented an ‘Introduction on how unique identifier systems are managed and coordinated – RIRs (APNIC for APAC), ICANN, IETF and policy development’ at session 2.
- Was a facilitator for the ‘MyAPIGA City’, an interactive exercise designed to boost participants’ digital literacy and safety awareness.
- Presented during session 4 on ‘IPv6 – Global and Malaysia’s Perspectives’.
- Spoke in session 6 on ‘Why and how do we participate in Internet governance?’
- Sunny was also mentor for participants throughout the event.
