APNIC participated in the China Internet Infrastructure Resources Conference (CNIRC) 2024 held in Beijing, China from on 30 November to 1 December 2024.
Hosted by China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), the event welcomed approximately 400 participants to share information on IPv6 deployment, AI, satellite Internet and much more.
APNIC activities:
- Jia Rong Low presented a keynote speech where he acknowledged China to be a major Internet power and recognized their IPv6 deployment achievements over recent year. He also expressed gratitude for CNNIC’s cooperation and looked forward to further strengthening collaboration with them.
- Jia Rong and Lu Zhang met with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and CNNIC where they signed a MoU with CNNIC and discussed Inernet-related matters. They also met with several APNIC Members to make introductions and answer their questions relating to IPv6, RPKI/ROV deployment and APNIC membership.
