APNIC supported and participated in npNOG 10, held in Pokhara, Nepal from 25 to 29 November 2024.
The event welcomed 133 participants for five days of workshops and the conference day. The program featured presentations from local and regional industry experts on topics including RPKI, Internet security, emerging technologies and much more.
APNIC activities:
- Pubudu Jayasinghe presented on DASH where he showcased some of the tool’s features including how to generate reports and alerts on routing status, suspicious traffic and MANRS readiness.
- Terry Sweetser presented on Internet security where he discussed security strategies and tools such as RPKI and ROV to protect Internet infrastructure and enhance routing security.
- Terry, and APNIC Community Trainer, Rupesh Basnet, and a local supporting trainer conducted a four-day Network Automation Workshop for 24 participants.
- APNIC Community Trainers, Dibya Khatiwada and Milan Adhikari, conducted a four-day Advanced Routing Workshop for 25 participants.
- Pududu and Terry also took the opportunity to visit several APNIC Members, answering their questions on ROV deployment, IPv6, APNIC’s Referral Program and DASH.

The Advanced Routing Workshop was a valuable learning experience to me that significantly contributed my professional growth to foster ahead. It bridged knowledge gaps and prepared me to tackle modern networking complexities confidently.
