APNIC supported and participated in mnNOG 6, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 30 September to 4 October 2024.
The five-day event comprised three workshop tracks hosted over four days followed by a one-day conference with over 180 delegates participating from various organizations. The conference included presentations and keynote speeches on topics including 5G development, IX interconnection overview and AS-PATH filtering with bgpq4. View the agenda for more information.
APNIC activities:
- Bayar Batjargal hosted a booth where he welcomed conference attendees and APNIC Members, answering their questions on upcoming APNIC events, APNIC membership and the referral program, and DASH.
- Bayar also presented on ‘ IP address geolocation and DASH’ at Technical Session 1.
- APNIC Retained Community Trainer, Ulsbold Enkhtaivan, presented on IX development in Mongolia.
- Awal Haolader and Ulsbold conducted a four-day workshop on Network Automation for 29 participants. They were assisted by mnNOG community members.
- Shane Hermoso (remote) and APNIC Community Trainer, Nyamkhand Buluukhuu (on-site), conducted a four-day workshop on DNS/DNSSEC for 27 participants, supported by Taivanbaatar Tulga (Univision) and Bayar.
- Shane, Awal and Bayar served as active members of the PC team.
