APNIC supported and participated in the inaugural Timor-Leste Network Operators’ Group Community Event (TLNOG 1), held in Dili, Timor-Leste from 19 to 22 August 2024.
The event, marking a significant milestone for the Timor-Leste Internet community, welcomed participants to hear from industry leaders and experts on the latest challenges and trends in network operations. View the schedule for more information.
APNIC activities:
- Awal Haolader conducted a three-day workshop on Internet Routing for 55 participants on the fundamentals of Internet routing with hands-on practical labs and theory.
- Che-Hoo Cheng joined remotely to deliver welcoming remarks.
- Awal presented on the ‘Internet Landscape of Timor-Leste’ where he shared insights into the economy’s connectivity metrics including, IPv6, RPKI, DNSSEC and much more.
- Shane Hermoso and Awal also serve as active members of the TLNOG committee.
