Program highlights
The program has plenty of great content, including three technical sessions, two FIRST/APNIC security sessions, an IPv6 deployment session, a Disaster Resilience Panel session, the Diversity and Inclusion session, two BoF sessions, and the Special Interest Groups (SIGs). There are also two tutorials on cyber civil defence and building an IPv6 network on AWS available to extend your learning.
Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony which features keynote speakers Robyn Kamira, Managing Director of Paua Interface Ltd, who will talk about ‘Telecommunications stories from the frontline: What matters’ and Jon Brewer, Consulting Engineer at Telco2 Ltd, who will discuss ‘Delivering broadband to rural Aotearoa’.
The Pacific IGF 2024 and InternetNZ Registrars Day will also be held during the conference.
Grow your professional network
There will be plenty of opportunities to network at APNIC 58 at the Welcome Social, the Meet the EC Cocktail and incoming Director General, and the Closing Social, as well as opportunities to meet your peers throughout the conference.
Cast your vote
Online voting for the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) closes this Friday, 6 September 2024 at 14:30 (UTC +12). Online voting is available to both APNIC Members and APNIC 58 conference attendees who meet the voting eligibility criteria.
Participate in the Open Policy Meeting
The Open Policy Meeting (OPM) at APNIC 58 will be held on 6 September 2024. There are four policy proposals up for discussion.
- prop-157: Temporary IPv4 Transfers
- prop-159: Reduction of minimum IPv6 allocation size from/32 to /36
- prop-160: Change IPv6 Initial assignment to /44 for Organizations Eligible for /23 IPv4
Have your say on these policy proposals by subscribing to the Policy SIG mailing list or participating in person or remotely during the APNIC 58 Policy SIG forum.
