APNIC participated in the 36th Annual FIRST Conference held in Fukuoka, Japan from 9 to 14 June 2024.
The five-day event welcomed international incident response and computer security professionals who participated in talks and breakout sessions on topics related to the theme ‘Bridging Security Response Gaps’. The event included a pre-conference training for conference delegate and locals. View the program for more information.
APNIC activities:
- Adli Wahid participated on the FIRST Program Committee, and mentored fellows from CERT Vanuatu and CERT Tonga.
- Adli participated on the panel discussion for the National CSIRT Meeting on CERT/CSIRTs in developing economies.
- Jamie Gillespie attended the Law Enforcement, AI Security, and NETSEC SIG meetings and gave an update to the Academic SIG on APNIC training with Asi@Connect.
- Adli attended the Metrics SIG meeting and NETSEC SIG workshop and dinner. He also took the opportunity to meet with members of the APCERT community where he discussed opportunities for future engagement and collaboration.
