APNIC participated in the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia’s IPv6, IXP, Data centre — Policy and Regulation International Trends Forum held on the 7 March 2024 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The event welcomed approximately 90 representatives of government institutions, banks, data centres, information and communication service providers with the aim to share insights on best practices, policies, and international trends.

APNIC activities:

  • Che-Hoo Cheng presented on the ‘Benefits of doing Internet peering and running an Internet Exchange (IX)’.
  • Imtiaz Sajid and Community Trainer Ulsaa Enkhtaivan conducted a two-day workshop before the forum on ‘Network & Internet Routing Fundamentals’ for 53 participants.
  • Che-Hoo and Imtiaz also took the opportunity to meet with APNIC Members and the Mongolian Network Operators’ Group (MNNOG) committee to discuss APNIC updates.
