APNIC supported and participated in the inaugural Lao Network Operators Group (LANOG 1.0) meeting, held in Vientiane, Lao PDR, on 16 November 2023.
The event welcomed 88 participants to hear from speakers on topics including DNS Resolution and Security with Quad9, quantum cryptography, and much more. View the agenda for more information.
APNIC activities:
- APNIC hosted a booth answering questions on applying for Internet number resources, APNIC conferences and the fellowship program, and technical assistance.
- Shane Hermoso presented on the status of RPKI throughout the Asia Pacific region and Lao PDR.
- Shane and Wita Laksono conducted the Network Security workshop for 40 participants alongside APNIC Community Trainer, Vasira Mysavath.
- Wita met with APNIC Members and the community, answering their questions on Internet number resource management and the Autonomous System Number (ASN) application process.
