APNIC participated in the Taiwan Internet Governance Forum 2023 (TWIGF 2023), held in Taipei from 3 to 5 October 2023.
Participants discussed various topics including cybersecurity, AI and much more under the main theme of ‘Critical Moment: Fragmentation, Geopolitics, AI Revolution and Resilience’. View the agenda for more information.
APNIC activities:
- APNIC Executive Council Chair, and Chair of the Taiwan Network Information Centre, Kenny Huang, spoke at the Opening Ceremony, participated as a panellist in the ‘Internet governance status’ session and moderated the session on ‘Navigating Trust and Safety in Digital Landscapes: A Focused Insight into the Taiwanese Context’.
- Pablo Hinojosa organized and moderated the session on ‘Protective measures for Internet governance in an increasingly fractured world’ alongside Manju Chen, Deputy Manager, NII Industry Development Association. The workshop explored the positive protective measures that can be put in place to future-proof the ‘public core’ of the Internet.
