APNIC supported and participated in the BKNIX Peering Forum 2023, held in conjunction with ThaiNOG 5, in Bangkok, Thailand from 15 to 16 May 2023.

The seventh BKNIX Peering Forum, hosted by the Thai Network Information Center Foundation (THNICF) had a packed program on topics such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN), last-mile connectivity and remote peering, and welcomed 342 participants. View the agenda for more information.

APNIC activities:

  • Wita Laksono gave an update on measurements APNIC Labs is conducting on IPv6, RPKI, and DNSSEC, including updates on APNIC Products, REx, DASH and NetOX.
  • At ThaiNOG 5, Jamie Gillespie conducted a half-day security tutorial, covering SMTP TLS Implementation (focusing on the Thailand environment), APNIC’s Vulnerability Reporting Program, and vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
