APNIC supported and participated in the inaugural VNNIC Internet Conference 2022, held in a hybrid format from 22 to 25 June 2022 in Da Nang, Viet Nam.
The event welcomed around 300 participants to share information on the theme ‘The future of the Internet’, with a focus on 5G, cloud computing, and blockchain. View the agenda for more information on the speakers and topics discussed.
APNIC activities:
- Geoff Huston gave a keynote presentation on ‘Future network needs’, asking questions on what defines the Internet.
- Sanjaya gave an opening speech on the importance of IPv6 deployment and commended Viet Nam on its deployment to date as a leading economy in South East Asia.
- Sunny Chendi helped facilitate the ‘Workshop on Internet resources and Internet governance for students’ to around 60 participants and also used the IPGo game to explain the Internet governance ecosystem and how the Internet works, including related standards and technologies.
