APNIC participated in the IDNIC Annual Members Meeting 2020, held online from 1 to 3 December 2020.
IDNIC, the National Internet Registry (NIR) for Indonesia, holds yearly meetings of it members to discuss matters relating to important issues affecting the Indonesian Internet industry.
APNIC activities:
- Paul Wilson and George Kuo provided recorded video messages for the event congratulating IDNIC on the virtual event and the importance of the Internet as a result of the pandemic.
- Sanjaya participated as a panellist in the ‘History of IP’ session with Dr. Ir. Ismail from the Indonesia Ministry of Communications and Informatics. Moderated by Marcelus Ardiwinata of FiberStar, they discussed how Internet industry players and government have worked together to establish the light-weight Internet regulatory framework seen in Indonesia today, leading to APJII/IDNIC’s recognition as an APNIC NIR.
