The 2020 APNIC Survey report is now available.
The APNIC Executive Council and Secretariat would like to thank everyone in the community who participated in the interviews and survey – there were 1,624 valid responses received, which is an increase of 31% on 2018 (1,241 responses).
The survey questionnaire was translated into 15 languages in 2020 (an increase on eight languages in 2018) and 568 surveys were completed in a language other than English (or 35% of all surveys completed).
The 2020 APNIC Survey, conducted by independent research specialist, Survey Matters, has provided APNIC with a lot of valuable feedback from Members and the wider Internet community. A summary of the results will be presented at APNIC 50 during the APNIC Member Meeting on Thursday, 10 September, and you can watch the presentation online (live or recording afterwards).
APNIC values and acts on the results of its biennial surveys in order to continuously improve services and activities. You can track the progress of the Secretariat’s actions on previous surveys on the website.
In the next few months, the Secretariat will work closely with the APNIC EC to develop its 2021 Activity Plan and Budget, and the survey information will form an important part of that planning. The subsequent plan, and list of activities to address survey feedback, will be available on the APNIC website as always.
Thanks again to everyone in the community who contributed to the survey for your feedback – it helps APNIC improve its services and ensure the community’s needs are met.
