APNIC participated in the first meeting of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) preparatory group for the ITU World Telecommunications Standardization Assembly 2020 (APT WTSA20-1) in Tokyo, Japan, on 11 June 2019.
The WTSA is held every four years and defines the next period of study for the Telecommunications Standardization Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T). The 2020 WTSA will take place from 17 to 27 November 2019 in Hyderabad, India.
The objective of this series of inter-governmental meetings is to assist the Asia Pacific Member States to prepare for the WTSA in coordinating issues of regional interests and preparing coordinated regional contributions.
APNIC activities:
- APNIC’s Klee Aiken participated in the meeting as an observer and as a resource for delegations interested in understanding the activities of the Internet addressing community.
